Another fantastic adventure

We had an absolute blast at our last firearms safety class. Class was very informative and the questions were amazing. We got to touch and handle several different types of guns including revolvers, semi automatics, rifles, and even machine guns and an Uzi. Everyone did great on the firing range. some were a little timid but I can understand that. Some of the guns were very powerful. Hopefully the information gained will help you be more safe in the future and maybe some of you will even purchase your own guns. When you do, think about the fun you had in Fred’s Playland Firearms Safety Class 101.
45 people took this 4 day journey from Los Angeles to Catalina Island & Ensenada Mexico. Prices ranged from $131 to $301. Those are fantastic prices in anyone’s book. We had our own tour guide on Catalina as well as a golf tournament with great prizes. In Ensenada we had our own bus to La bufadora, The Corona Beer Brewery, Downtown, and a short wine tasting stop. My favorite part was the number of kids and first-time cruisers onboard. I love it when my people try new things. That’s what Fred’s Playland is all about. Making it possible. Thanks to Carnival Cruises for making this possible and special thanks to Chuck Lidell for your help. And thanks to all of you who made this trip wonderful for me.
Fred’s Playland was invited to take a ride on one of the fastest commercial boats on the ocean. We were one of the first groups to experience the power of the Patriot. I was invited to go out on media day and it was awesome. Just so you know, this is not a casual tour. It’s an all out thrill ride. We sped across the bay at around 50 mph performing turns and spins the way only a jet boat can. Here is one of my videos from media day.
The event was absolutely flawless. The sun, the wind, and the rest of Mother Nature totally showed us favor. It’s been almost 4 years since we’ve taken to the skyways of Torrey Pines. Last time we had 15 people join in on the fun. This time we had 22, including 2 last minute add-ons. It was a day of fun, sun and excitement and all for only $100 per person thanks to the generosity of the owners and management of The Torrey Pines Glider Port.
The price of paragliding is $159. Even the group rate is $139. After weeks of strong negotiations, I finally got us a price of $100 per person. You have never seen this price and you never will again. How many times you’ve heard me say, “Some opportunities only come along once”. This might be one of those opportunities.
I would say the day was somewhere in the neighborhood of…PERFECT!
We departed from San Diego at 7:30 am and our first stop was The LA Science Center. We viewed numerous exhibits highlighted by an up close and personal look at…
