THE 2026 BILL PICKETT RODEO
This is the early bird invitation to all who have expressed interest in attending the Bill Pickett Rodeo. You only have a short time to reserve your seat before this event is released to the rest of
Fred’s Playland.
The Event takes place on Sat. July 18th, 2026
Departure time 2:00pm
Departs from The Old Town Transit Center
Pacific Hwy & Taylor St – West side of the Trolley Track – Under the freeway
Price: $120 per person
We will depart from San Diego approximately 2:00 p.m. we will arrive at the rodeo grounds a little early so to get the best seat selection. The grounds will open at 5:00 and there will be food vendors available and other activities available. Food at these events can be a little pricey. You may want to bring your own food to have on the bus. I don’t think they allow food into the venue. It’s customary at most venues now not to allow anything in, they could possibly sell you🤔 I will know for sure in the next few days.
We’ll have a couple of hours to browse the rodeo grounds. The rodeo starts at 7:00 p.m. I’m guesstimating our departure between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. time allowing we may make a quick food stop on the return trip home. It’s going to be a long day and at this point I’m not sure what the weather will be, but you will get a weather update before the event. I would suggest bringing layers just in case because it’s summer and it’s probably going to be hot. The evening it could cool off quite a bit. There will be snacks and refreshments served on the bus.
Your ticket price covers:
Transportation, Parking, Admission, Shacks, and Beverages on the bus.
The cost of this event is $120 per person.
